"The Dragon's Cave" Here’s a shot that I took of Lower Antelope Canyon in Arizona. I photographed Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon on two separate days in December and I had a fantastic time! I booked two separate Photography Tours a month in advance to ensure my spot. Knowing I was going to share and sell these images in the future, I contacted Navajo Nations Parks and applied for a photography permit. December is a great time to visit the area because there are less people and the color in the canyon is more intense. During the winter, the sun casts an even light which creates a warm glow throughout. You're less likely to catch a sunbeam, but you will experience the canyons in a "whole new light!" This particular shot is looking up through an opening where the sun is casting a beautiful orange glow on the sandstone. After spending a few extra minutes composing my shot, I was able to frame the ceiling to look like an opening in a cave. Once I started to process the image, I realized that the shot looked like something out of a fantasy novel. I asked myself what might live in this magical cave, and of course a fire breathing dragon came to mind! lol http://presetpro.com/hdr-photography-the-dragons-cave/
Here's a photo from...you guessed it, Paris! I vividly remember this photo because of what happened right after I took the shot! We purchased tickets to see The Moulin Rouge that evening, and it was imperative that I be back at the hotel at a certain time (Hôtel De Varenne.) When I checked my watch, a sense of panic washed over me... I had completely lost track of time! Basically, I had to get to the hotel, have a shower and be in the lobby in the next 20 mins! The problem was: I was 25 mins away!! I quickly packed my gear and started running full tilt towards the hotel! I ended up making it in time, however I had to skip the shower, which made me the "sweaty, heavy breathing guy" at the Moulin Rouge! Not a good look at all! Anyways, this shot ended up being the last photo I took of the Eiffel Tower... The good news is, we're heading back to Paris as part of our Euro Tour 2016! I'm looking forward to taking more shots and sharing them with you as we go! http://presetpro.com/weekly-photo-eiffel-tower-paris/
"Morning Textures" - Here's a neet-o shot that I took in Mexico! After processing the photo in Lightroom, Photomatix and Photoshop, I layered in paper, concrete and rust textures over the image to give it a bit of old world mystery. Sometimes a photo can use a little "sumthin sumthin" to add a little bit of interest! More Info: http://presetpro.com/creative-edit-morning-textures-tim-martin/
